The Fraternal Order of Police - New Jersey State Lodge (NJFOP) today announced its endorsements for the New Jersey State Legislature.
"Drastic budget cuts and irresponsible reductions in officer compensation threaten New Jersey's ability to combat crime and keep citizens safe," said Edward R. Brannigan, president of the New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police. "The candidates we have endorsed today appreciate and recognize the value of skilled and professional police officers in maintaining public safety. Having these people in the state legislature is vital to changing the destructive atmosphere in Trenton that no longer honors the great risk and tremendous sacrifice police officers make to protect honest and hardworking New Jersey families."
